Flow of admission to undergraduate school
In order to enroll in a regular course (with the aim of obtaining a degree), you must take and pass the entrance examination and interview conducted by Hirosaki University.Admission requirements, entrance examination methods, and entrance examination information for each faculty are as follows.
○Eligibility
1.Those who do not have Japanese nationality and who have completed 12 years of school education in a foreign country or who are expected to complete it by March of the year of admission.
2.Those who have an International Baccalaureate or Abitur qualification and will reach 3 by the 18rd year of the year of enrollment.
*It is necessary to take the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU) conducted by the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) in the previous academic year before applying to our university.
*Since most classes at the undergraduate level are conducted in Japanese, a high level of Japanese language proficiency is required for admission.It seems that many international students who want to enter Hirosaki University as undergraduates first learn Japanese at a Japanese language school.
○ Entrance Examination Method
Entrance examinations for privately financed international students are conducted at all faculties.Applicants will be selected based on a comprehensive examination of academic achievement, interviews, EJU scores, and survey reports.Please check the application guidelines posted on the Entrance Examination Division website, as examination subjects differ depending on the faculty.

I.Get the application guidelines and application form
Application guidelines can be obtained from the Entrance Examination Division website, but in order to apply, it is necessary to obtain an application form.Application guidelines and application forms are usually distributed once a year at a fixed time.
II.application
Please send the necessary application documents to the Entrance Examination Division by the application deadline.Applications submitted after the application deadline will not be accepted.
III.exam
All entrance exams will be held at Hirosaki University at the end of February, so please come to Hirosaki University and take the exam.
