Study Abroad Information Session

We will provide information on partner universities, share experiences from students who have studied abroad, and explain necessary on-campus procedures. These sessions are held around May and November each year, but please check the International Relations Office bulletin board, website, Campus Square, etc. for specific dates and times.
In addition, we hold information sessions and other events throughout the year for each study abroad program.

STEP 2: Consider the right time to study abroad for yourself.

Hirosaki University offers several overseas study programs, including exchange programs with partner universities, short-term language training programs with partner universities, and overseas training programs. Consider the most suitable time to study abroad based on your goals.

Partner universities, exchange programs

Generally, the second and third years of university are the easiest times to study abroad. However, it is possible to study abroad at other times as well, provided you plan and prepare thoroughly in advance regarding credits, graduation, and job hunting.

Partner Institutions: Short-term language training and overseas training programs

The start dates for each training program vary depending on the training location and the program you wish to participate in.

STEP 3: Take language exams or study the local language.

To have a fulfilling study abroad experience, learning the local language before departure is essential.
When participating in an exchange program with a partner university in an English-speaking country,TOEFL-ITPが必須です。2026年度は年4回(6月,9月、11月)行います。早い時期から,試験対策に取り組みましょう。

Application deadlines vary depending on the type of study abroad program you wish to pursue, so please contact us as soon as possible.
