〇Study abroad information session
We will provide information on partner schools, experience reports from people who have studied abroad, and necessary internal procedures.It is held around May and November every year, but please check the International Cooperation Headquarters bulletin board, website, Campus Square, etc. for detailed dates and times.
In addition, information sessions for each study abroad program are held throughout the year.
STEP 2: Think about the best time to study abroad
Hirosaki University's overseas study program includes exchange programs at partner universities, short-term language training at partner universities, and overseas training programs.Consider the best time to study abroad according to your purpose.
●Partner school exchange study abroad
Generally, it is easier to study abroad during your second and third years. However, it is possible to do other things as long as you plan and prepare well in advance for things like credits, graduation, job hunting, etc.
●Partner schools Short-term language training, overseas training programs
The start time of the course varies depending on the training destination and the program you wish to participate in.

STEP 3: Take a language test and study the local language
In order to have a fulfilling study abroad life, it is essential to study the local language before traveling.
If you are studying abroad in an English-speaking country with a partner university,TOEFL-ITPis required. In 2024, it will be held four times a year (May, June, October, December).Start preparing for exams early.

Application deadlines vary depending on the study abroad you wish to study, so please consult us as soon as possible.

This is an international exchange program within the university.You will interact with students from overseas partner universities and international students studying at Hirosaki University using English and Japanese.First of all, why not experience overseas on campus?
