The 2023 Semester Study Abroad Fair was held!

 The second semester study abroad fair was held from November 2023th (Monday) and December 11th (Monday) to December 27th (Friday), 12.
 Below are the details of the study abroad fair.

 

・Pre-study abroad fair

 As a preliminary event for the study abroad fair, we held a pre-study abroad fair on November 11th (Monday).
 During the lunch break, a briefing session was held at the International Cooperation Headquarters Support Office titled ``Study Abroad Briefing for Super Beginners!'' that provided basic overviews and information about studying abroad.

  

 

 On the same day, from 17:40 p.m., the "Learn from your seniors! Role model lecture" was held at Global Square on the 1st floor of the University Library.

 This event was planned by the ``Hongdae SIPS Student Management Team,'' a student organization that promotes study abroad at our university, and two Hongdae students who had studied abroad for a long time took the stage on the day.

 The guest speakers this time were Mr. Shimizu from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, who studied abroad at the University of Maine in the United States, and Mr. Narita, who also studied abroad at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Mount Royal University in Canada. is.
 At the lecture, the two spoke about their experiences, what they need to study abroad, and the costs. Thank you very much to both of you!

 

・Study Abroad Fair: Day 1 “Study Abroad Consultation Session in Bunkyo Town”

 On the first day, the ``Study Abroad Consultation Session in Bunkyo Town'' was held at the International Cooperation Headquarters Support Office. On the day of the event, not only regulars at the Support Office came, but also students who had never been to the Support Office before.

 

・Study Abroad Fair: 2nd day “Business Trip! Study Abroad Fair in Honmachi”

 On the second day, a study abroad fair was held at the Faculty of Medicine Communication Center.

 Since it was a long-awaited event to be held in Honmachi, we invited medical school students who had studied abroad as guest speakers and asked them to talk about their experiences studying abroad. It was a very rich event full of struggles and stories unique to medical school.

 

・Study Abroad Fair: 3rd day “Lunch party to connect with the world”

 On the third day, the Hongdae SIPS student management team held an event called "Luncheon to Connect with the World."

 The luncheon was attended by international students from the United States, France, China, and Malaysia, as well as Hong Kong University students. While eating sweets and lunch, the international students talked about their partner schools.

 

・Study Abroad Fair: Day 4 “Introduction of partner schools by exchange students”

 On the fourth day, exchange students introduced our partner schools in the large conference room on the second floor of the General Education Building. International students from Italy, Germany, Taiwan, and South Korea were divided into booths and introduced their universities.

 

 

・Study Abroad Fair: Day 5 “Tobitate! Study Abroad JAPAN Information Session”

 On the fifth and final day of the Study Abroad Fair, we held the "Tobitate! Study Abroad JAPAN Information Session" at Iwaki Hall on the 5nd floor of the 50th Anniversary Hall.

 Tobitate at the briefing session! We invited a staff member from the Study Abroad JAPAN (hereinafter referred to as "Tobitate") office to explain the outline and system of Tobitate. We also had former Tobitate alumni with connections to Aomori Prefecture take the stage and talk about their own experiences.
 On the day of the event, not only students from Hirosaki University but also people from other universities participated online.
