[Mr. Sawada] Colored Neputa

July XNUMXth (Friday) finally!I started to add colors to the Neputa paintings.
The color was repelled from the waxed part, and everyone was very nervous about this work, where the color was drawn only on the white paper.
According to Mr. Sawada, there are differences in how colors are used depending on the country.
very interesting...
Paste the completed Neputa picture on the frame and walk around the streets of Hirosaki with the lanterns you made at the Hirosaki Neputa Festival!

Students painted their neputa artwork in brilliant colors last Friday, in preparation for the Neputa festival which begins on August 1st.

Their artwork will be attached to lanterns that will be lit up and paraded through the streets of Hirosaki throughout the festival, and will be seen by thousands of citizens and tourists who come to the city to enjoy the annual event.
