Greeting from General Manager

Welcome to the homepage of the International Relations Office!

My name is Kaori Sugihara. I have been appointed as the Director of the International Collaboration Headquarters since April.

In order to become the center of Hirosaki University's development of global human resources, the International Relations Office is engaged in a variety of initiatives, including support for various study abroad programs for students, expansion of relationships with overseas partner universities, support for international students from overseas, and support for researcher exchanges with overseas universities. These activities have received a great deal of support not only from university officials but also from people in the local community. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you from the bottom of my heart. We look forward to your continued cooperation.

To all students and international students

In recent years, thanks to the revolutionary progress in information transmission technology, anyone can freely obtain information about the world at any time, and people can easily connect with each other through SNS and other means, regardless of whether they are in Japan or overseas.Precisely because we live in an era like this, I hope that young students who are in the midst of learning will actually experience international exchange and study abroad. In the real world, there is a world (atmosphere) that can never be conveyed from the screen of a PC or smartphone. Can we say that it is a world where all five senses respond?I want you to use your five senses to the fullest and interact with people who have completely different backgrounds than you.I think that values can change.I am confident that such experiences will broaden your horizons and become an irreplaceable asset for your success in a world that will become even more globalized than it is today.
Take a step forward and open the door to the world.Because science knows no borders.
The staff of the International Relations Office, including myself, who are well versed in international affairs, will fully support you.
