On Saturday, August 8, 2026, Hirosaki University held its Open Campus 2026, and the Department of International Education and Collaboration conducted a "Study Abroad Experience Fair."
The fair was primarily run by Hirosaki University's SIPS (a network that supports and encourages students interested in studying abroad). The event featured presentations on Hirosaki University's study abroad programs, testimonials from students who had experienced long-term study abroad, and a "study abroad destination diagnosis," among other activities that leveraged the students' own experiences. Participants listened attentively.
Furthermore, the corner where international students introduced their home countries was so popular that there was a waiting line. This time, students from South Korea, Colombia, Italy, China, France, and Canada participated, and they were seen happily discussing the culture and characteristics of their home countries while viewing slides they had created together with the participants.
