This is my last study abroad news.

After the semester ends,In 1 monthSince I was on vacation, I went on a trip. I would like to write about that trip.

One of the advantages of studying abroad in Europe is traveling within the EU.
Borders within the EU can be crossed just like prefectural borders within Japan, and each country is small, making it relatively easy to travel.

I went to Switzerland and Poland during this period.
その
I was able to go to two countries because I was lucky enough to make friends.

I met my friend from Switzerland on a plane when I came to Turin to study abroad. He guided me around the country when I traveled and even invited me to his home.
I met a friend from Poland in class and we became good friends, and he also let me stay at his house. I was happy that both of them were so kind to me.

First, let's talk about Switzerland.
mountains and lakes,
ZurichI also went to cities such as and Bern. I went to the Swiss Alps by train, bus, and ropeway.
It was a bit of a long journey and I had a headache due to the atmospheric pressure, but I was impressed by the beautiful scenery at the top. Also, I have the impression that Switzerland is generally safe.

In Switzerland, there are four languages: German, French, Italian and Romansh.one language is used.
German is the official language in the area where my friend lives, and German influence can be seen in the food culture. Even though it is in Europe, I was able to experience a completely different atmosphere from the city of Turin.
My study abroad experience was to learn Italian, but my friend also taught me German and dialects, and I was able to learn about diverse cultures.

Next, let's talk about Poland. Poland is further away from Turin than Switzerland, so it had a different townscape and culture.
Auschwitz concentration camp, W by train
roclawand KrakowI visited a city called.
It was difficult to read the letters in Polish, and the pronunciation was completely different from Italian or English, so it sounded interesting, but I didn't have any problems because English was understood in most places.

Also, when I went to Auschwitz, I took a guided course in Polish, but my friend translated it into English and explained it to me.
Although my heart ached as I thought about the war during the tour, I learned a lot and am glad I was able to visit.

The streets of Poland are colorful and cute, and there are many gorgeous Catholic churches.
I got a lot of inspiration from seeing and feeling a lot of things that are not found in Japan, and I want to visit more other countries in the future.

This is the last newsletter about my study abroad, but I hope it will be useful for those who are thinking about studying abroad.

Thank you for reading until now.
