Signed 62nd university exchange agreement with Sapienza University of Rome (Republic of Italy)

As of February 2024, 2, our university and Sapienza University of Rome (Republic of Italy) have concluded an interuniversity exchange agreement.

The Sapienza University of Rome is a national university located in Rome, the capital of the Italian Republic, and is one of the oldest universities in the world, founded in 1303 by Pope Boniface VIII. It is one of the world's top universities in terms of size, academics, and research, and has produced many famous people, including many Nobel Prize winners.

In 2020, it was selected as one of the top 100 universities in the world for the quality of education, and is known as a prestigious university in Italy. The current number of students is approximately 115,000, including the Faculty of Architecture, Faculty of Humanities, Faculty of Civil and Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Information Engineering, Computer Science and Statistics, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Natural Sciences, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, and Faculty of Medicine. It is one of the largest universities in Western Europe, with departments such as Psychology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Political Science, Sociology and Communication Sciences, and Aerospace Engineering, with approximately 9,800 foreign students enrolled.

The university also has many libraries, art galleries, and museums on campus, making it a very diverse university.

The Department of Italian Oriental Studies in the Faculty of Humanities at the same university conducts Oriental studies, including Japan, and we hope to develop educational and research exchanges with our university in a variety of fields in the future.
