Aloha! Hawaii is hot! I heard that even in the United States, snow has been observed in Maine, where my friend is studying abroad. It's heattech season for my family in my hometown of Hokkaido, and I'm cheerfully going sleeveless today as well. I would like to spend the year with full enthusiasm for swimming.

As for my personal news, I decided to participate in the Honolulu Marathon because I want to leave some memories that can only be made on Oahu since I am in Hawaii.

After coming home from university, I run around the hills around my host family's house after 4pm. It's a steep slope. And the shining sun! As a beginner runner, running for me is a mental endurance battle. Still 30Minute3-4It's so boring that you get tired of it after just a mile, but when the dust accumulates, it becomes a mountain! 30Minute3miles8times? If you repeat it, you will complete the full marathon! Good luck Mars.

Regarding running, I would like to introduce one thing that I like about Hawaii.

There are many citizen runners on my running route, and when they pass each other, their thoughtfulness and aloha poses that express their kindness really touch my heart. I love it. Titled "The Road to Completing (or Walking?) a Full Marathon with Friends from Hongdae," we are doing a 20km walk around the city and a dangerous hiking trail where you can fully enjoy Hawaii's nature.

In particularKoko HeadYa Koko crater We would like to introduce you to a new training course called ``Trail,'' which consists of climbing up more than 1000 steps of railroad ties. It was a battle between my mind and body and the midday sun and temperature. There are no handrails. in the first place. The fear of trembling if you take a wrong step and the refreshing feeling that only those who reach the top can experience are two sides of the same coin. The terrifying incline continues from the first to the last staircase, but the people who appear to be loco descend at a slow pace, one step at a time. Even though I wanted to try it, I was too scared to do it, and the exquisite width of the stairs was a harsh reality for my short legs, which made me very sad. It only took me 1 minutes to go up, 1 minutes to enjoy the summit, and 30 minutes to go down! It was a wonderful experience to cheer with others who were going up at the same pace. I might want to go up there at least once more. I wonder.

Now, let's talk about university. The midterm of the fall semester is over, and there is only one month left until the end of the semester.

I would like to tell you about the contents of the midterm test.writing/readingProbably B in the class ofook Promotion Presentationis the mid-term assignment, grammarIn the LSK class, there is a multiple choice + writing test on tenses.earning skillsA group presentation was held in class. It's easy if you have taken basic classes. It ended successfully.

As a student at Hong Kong University, I think one of the minor disadvantages is that it is not used in class.MicrosoftApp WwordsYaPPTInstead, use Google Document or slidesSo it may take some getting used to. But that's about it.

On a different note, I recently learned that since the coronavirus outbreak, only 30% of all classes are holding face-to-face classes. It becomes this stillness. Satisfied.

There was also Halloween. WalmartThis is a large store with everything you need, and it had a huge sale of Halloween costumes, decorations, makeup goods, etc., and I was excited and felt like I was overseas. Especially in the costume corner, from horror clowns and killers to fun costumes like vodka and M&M. etc…. There were many costumes available for purchase for $20-$30! I choose the crown! Please refer to the photos carefully.

On the day of Halloween, there were just as few people at LCC as usual, but it was just a little more vivid. I got a free chicken lunch box and candy and came home excited. Sponsored by the universityWebsiteI participated in a costume contest that was held... I wonder what the results will be... I'm looking forward to it. Happy Halloween! Happy November! Tomorrow (11/4) I'm going to volunteer at a university event for children!
