2024: Recruiting students to participate in short-term study abroad (6 week program) hosted by the University of Otago Language Center

Hirosaki University's partner university, the University of Otago, will be offering a 6-week short-term study abroad program at its language centre.

*As a general rule, our university allows students to be dispatched only to countries/regions of level 1 or lower according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' "Overseas Safety Information." However, since this program is an overseas study program based on inter-university exchange agreements, we are handling special cases to allow study abroad even if the infectious disease risk information is level 2 (non-essential travel cancellation) or level 3 (travel cancellation advisory). Therefore, in the event that the local situation deteriorates or an infectious disease spreads during your travel, the university may advise you to return home, placing the safety of the student first. In the event of such a situation, please promptly follow the instructions of the university. In principle, the university will bear the costs associated with canceling the trip or returning to Japan. However, the student may be responsible for the cost.
