Held on December 12th!Information about Tobitate Study Abroad JAPAN Information Session in Hirosaki University

We have decided to hold "Tobitate! Study Abroad JAPAN Information Session in Hirosaki University" at our university.

"Tobitate! Study Abroad JAPAN" (hereinafter referred to as "Tobitate") is a public-private collaborative overseas study abroad support system sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, and is a scholarship program that will enter its 16th year next year.

At this briefing session, we will invite a member of the Tobitate Secretariat as a lecturer to explain the system and how to apply.

We also plan to have Tobitate alumni from Aomori prefecture speak online.

We hope that anyone who is thinking about applying to Tobitate, those who are interested, and even those who are learning about Tobitate for the first time, please feel free to join us.

Kanako Tachibana

Graduated from Hirosaki University in 2017.During his studies, he was selected by Tobitate's 4th term to study abroad in Tanzania for one year.While studying tourism at university, she experienced an internship at a local travel agency and learned about sustainable tourism.She joined Bellsystem1, Inc., a company with a wide range of experience, with the aim of starting a travel agency in the future.So far, he has been involved in jointly launching new businesses with domestic and overseas companies, developing IT solutions, and managing 24 people.Currently in charge of M&A and overseas business expansion.He is scheduled to be stationed overseas starting next year.

 

Shinsuke Sato (online)

As a Tobitate exchange student, I studied abroad in Washington state in the United States for one year with the theme of tourism in Tohoku.While studying abroad, he interned at a local cruise travel agency and volunteered to sell food in the Tohoku region.
After returning to Japan, she did an internship at the Japanese subsidiary of online travel company Expedia.His job hunting changed direction from studying abroad, and he joined the IT company Dell as a new graduate, and is currently working at the Japanese subsidiary of Zoom.

 


Takuma Koizumi (online)

While attending Hachinohe National College of Technology, he studied abroad in Australia for four months for experimental research as a 11th-year student in the science course at Tobitate University.He is currently enrolled at Tohoku University and is once again studying abroad in Australia.
Tobitate will study abroad in Australia, where solar thermal power generation is popular, and will work on developing new methods to solve the problem of reduced efficiency caused by heat transfer through the air.In addition to evaluating the effectiveness of the method through creating and discussing data reduction programs, he also deepened his understanding of other cultures through homestays and trips with local friends.
Currently, he is conducting simulations of air flow in order to save energy in cooling at power plants and other facilities.He is currently discussing the phenomenon with a professor at the University of Sydney who is a leading expert in the field, and plans to move to the Australian National University next year to work on elucidating the phenomenon through experiments.
