[October 10th] Representatives from the New Zealand Embassy paid a courtesy visit to our university.

 On Tuesday, October 5, 10, three people from the New Zealand Embassy: Primary Industries Counselor David Allen, Ambassador Tomoyo Miyazaki's Executive Officer, and Yuki Saito, First Industry Policy Advisor, and from NZ Apples & Pears Inc. Karen Morrish (Delegation lead) Chief Executive Officer, Danielle Adsett International Engagement Manager, Plant & Food Research Limited to Dr. Jolon Dyer Group General Manager, Science Services, Dr. Jim Walker Principal Scientist Temperate Fruit Crops: Entomology, Dr. Bethan Shaw Science Team Leader – Temperate Fruit Crops: A total of 24 people, including 3 people from Entomology and Tony Martin Chief Executive Officer from Prevar, paid a courtesy visit to our university.

 From our university, President Fukuda, Director Wakabayashi, Director of International Collaboration Headquarters Sugihara, and Professor Zhang and Associate Professor Sato from the Faculty of Agriculture and Life Sciences participated, and after President Fukuda's greetings, they talked about the possibility of an apple project between New Zealand and Aomori Prefecture. We exchanged opinions on matters such as gender.

  We hope that this visit will stimulate collaboration and exchange with New Zealand.
