This time, I will introduce the facilities of the university.

OSU Otter Student Union

Starbucks, a convenience store, a burger shop, and a Mexican restaurant are located on the first floor. There is a counter for lost and found items.

The second floor has billiards, a game corner, and a study space that can be reserved for use.

There are many Japanese exchange students at the long table in the open space. Therefore, at the beginning of the semester, if you have any problems or information about classes, ask the students from the previous semester. You can also meet American exchange students who want to talk with Japanese people. It's a little noisy to study, so the library is recommended when studying. Also, there are students who skateboard every day on the street in front of OSU.

OSC Otter Sports Center

There is a university gymnasium and gym.both are small. The gymnasium has a quota table and can be used by general students when the university team does not practice. The gym is crowded every day, so I recommend boys to go every day.I have made many friends through the gym.In addition, it is recommended because it is an environment for more informal conversation, such as speaking style and slang. It seems that there is also a muscle training class, and I saw a Japanese girl taking it, so I recommend it to both men and women.

There was a tournament recreation such as basketball and soccer only once a semester, and you could make a team and participate, and if you won, you got a T-shirt.

about making friends

One of the characteristics of CSUMB is the image of a small, quiet university.Students who want to go on to sports in the future participate in club activities, and I have the impression that they are basically doing club activities during the classes of international students. (It feels like a sports college). There are so-called so-called circles in Japan, but most of them were around 10 people. There is also a JAPAN circle where you can make friends with students who are interested in Japan. Many of the university students who belong to this school are preparing to take Japanese courses and study abroad in Japan, and they can speak quite good Japanese.Once a week, I made time to explain the subtle differences between English and Japanese and expressions.

In addition, the image of Japan from overseas is more than what Japanese people think, so it may be a bit difficult environment for people who like outdoor activities, listen to Western music, watch Western movies, decide to study abroad, and want to come into contact with native English speakers.

Professor's office hours schedule. Each class will tell you the room and time slot.
