On May 4, 5, an inter-university exchange agreement and a memorandum of understanding regarding student exchange between our university and California State University, Monterey Bay (CSUMB) was concluded. It is valid for 16 years.

CSUMB is a relatively new comprehensive university established in 23 and is one of the California State Universities, which consists of 1 universities.

There are 6 faculties and 25 majors: Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, Economics, Education, Development Education and International Programs, Health Sciences and Human Welfare, Science, and 9 majors in the graduate school.

As CSUMB is a comprehensive university, we can expect exchanges in a wide range of fields with our university through this agreement.

In addition, although the United States is a popular study abroad destination for our students, we have only partnered with four universities in the United States until now. By joining CSUMB as a partner university, the options have expanded and we are now able to provide our students with a more fulfilling study abroad experience.

Furthermore, because the Department of World Languages and Cultures of the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences has a major in Japanese and culture, it is hoped that exchange students from the university will be accepted.
