[November 11] Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Japan Sinisha Beryan paid a courtesy call on President Fukuda.

 On Monday, November 11nd, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Japan Sinisha Beryan visited the university and paid a courtesy call on President Fukuda.At the outset, President Fukuda welcomed the visit of Ambassador Sinisha Beryan.

 Prior to becoming Ambassador, Ambassador Sinisha Beryan was Vice Rector for Science, Research and Development at the University of East Sarajevo.She was interested in the fields of medicine and agriculture at the university, and was particularly interested in the apple varieties grown at the university, as apple cultivation is thriving in Bosnia and Herzegovina.In the future, she said that she would like to actively promote exchanges between her students and researchers, including joint research with East Sarajevo University and Hirosaki University.The discussion took place in a friendly atmosphere and ended with an exchange of souvenirs.
