 From September to October XNUMX, the Headquarters for International Relations held online discussions in English with students from our university and Auckland University of Technology (New Zealand).The participants were eight students from Auckland University of Technology and eight students from Auckland University of Technology who are taking the course "East Asian Values ​​and Beliefs" offered by Auckland University of Technology.The students were divided into groups to discuss, in English, their respective perspectives on the custom of wearing masks in Japan, the Japanese education system, the increase in suicides among young people in Japan, and the concept of filial piety in Japan. discussed from.
 One student from our university who participated said, "Before participating in this exchange, I thought that people living in New Zealand were less stressed than people living in Japan. I was able to learn that this is a common problem in the world, and I was able to hear various opinions and deepen my understanding of myself. I thought it was important to discuss social issues common to the world with people living in Japan." and "I had never thought about 'filial piety' before, so it was a little difficult to organize my thoughts. However, it was a good opportunity to think about things that I don't usually think about."
