Hello, I'm Chihiro Takahashi, currently studying at Auckland University of Technology in New Zealand!Here's what I've done and felt in the last 5 months!
Before I went to study abroad, I didn't have an image of Auckland at all.But now, having spent 4 months here, I feel absolutely right!People from Asia, the West, and people from island nations all live together.That's what makes Auckland unique and what I love about it.
Now let's talk about college classes!In the first semester, I took four English classes.There were about 1 students of various ages and nationalities, and I had classes for 15 hours each, XNUMX days a week.Both teachers and students are kind, so if you don't understand something, they will answer you immediately!
Next, I would like to talk about activities at other universities.I was also curious about New Zealand's indigenous Maori!At this university, students volunteered to teach us about Maori every day during their lunch break.Thanks to participating in it, I learned Maori language and had dinner with Maori students.They are lovely people who are always welcoming and welcoming!I also joined a dance club as part of my club activities, and at the end of the semester, I danced with the team members in a showcase.Practicing with my friends helps me learn English, but more than that, I'm glad that I was able to create fun and wonderful memories.What they have in common is that they are all very warm-hearted, kind and friendly.Because of the multinational culture, they are willing to accept my English, which is not fluent.
Even though I say study abroad, there is an overwhelming amount of time outside of class, so I felt that it was important to keep trying new things without fear!I will continue to participate in various events and cherish the encounters.
