弘前大学北日本新エネルギー研究所では，国立研究開発法人科学技術振興機構（JST）が実施する日本・アジア青少年サイエンス交流事業（さくらサイエンスプラン）として，平成28年11月6日（日）から平成28年11月13日（日）までの8日間，当研究所の部局間協定校である中国・太原理工大学から大学院生4名，タイ・タマサート大学から大学院生及び学部学生それぞれ1名，国際共同研究を実施しているインドネシア・バンドン工科大学から学部学生2名の計8名の優秀な学生を招き，最先端の再生可能エネルギー研究分野での交流を実施いたしました。
This was the first time for Hirosaki University to participate in the Sakura Science Plan, and we heard from students who came to Japan from China, Thailand, and Indonesia that "participating in this program broadened my horizons" and "I came to like Japan. I want to come to Japan again as an exchange student."We hope that this student acceptance program at our university's North Japan New Energy Research Institute will contribute to the development of future new energy researchers and lead to cross-border joint research for the next generation.Finally, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the JST Sakura Science Plan for giving me the opportunity to interact and to all those who supported the implementation of the exchange.
