Keith Carver, President of the University of Tennessee-Martin Visits

Keith Carver, Chancellor of the University of Tennessee-Martin, our oldest partner institution, visited our university from October 29nd to 10th, 22 as part of the faculty exchange program.
On October 29, 10 (Wednesday), the Hirosaki University Honorary Doctorate Award Ceremony was held with the attendance of the people concerned to express gratitude for the many years of exchange between the University of Tennessee and the University of Tennessee-Martin, and to express our hope that the close cooperation between the two universities will continue into the future.
After the ceremony, a lecture was held, where the current situation and strategic initiatives of American state universities were introduced, and the faculty and staff who filled the venue listened intently.
This was President Carver's first visit to Japan, and in addition to ceremonies and lectures, he visited the campus, exchanged opinions on exchange programs, gave presentations to students, and toured Hirosaki City and surrounding areas.
