Q.How are the classes in your country?

At my study abroad destination, I mainly attended lectures in the morning and activities in the afternoon. In class, we studied basic English and had discussions in English.Activities included downtown tours, indoor rock climbing, golf, horseback riding, and waterslides.
There were many Japanese participants in the program I participated in this time, but I tried to talk with students from other countries (from China, Ecuador, and Mexico) as much as possible.Classes in Canada were different from those in Japan, in that students voluntarily raised their hands and spoke in response to questions asked during class. It seems that Japanese people are shy and passive to people from other countries, and I was frustrated by that, so I tried to speak out as much as possible.

Q.How is your weekend going?

The first weekend, I traveled to Vancouver alone. At that time, I met with a Canadian occupational therapist who had been giving me advice on studying abroad for some time.I was able to hear from him about life in Canada, how he works, and the differences between Japanese and Canadian occupational therapists. On the second weekend, I went to a zoo and a movie theater with friends from other countries who were participating in the same program.

Q.short message

My short-term study abroad this time was a valuable experience that I can only have now.It has also given me a lot to think about for the future.I am so glad I went. However, I was able to study abroad because of the understanding and support of those around me.If you feel like going even a little, I recommend going with the support of those around you. However, instead, I think that you should think carefully about how the trip will affect your future and whether you should cut down on various things before going.
