7月1日（月）、日本食文化とグリーンツーリズムを学んでいる学生は平川市の日本庭園を見学しました。庭園の持つ意味について学んでから関守石を作り、庭師の指導の下で剪定体験をしました。
On July 1st students studying Japanese Food Culture and Green Tourism visited Hirakawa City to learn about the Japanese Gardens which are a focal point of the tourism promoted in the area. Students learned about the significance of the layout of the Japanese gardens they visited and made sekimori-ishi, or barrier stones which are used to indicate parts of the garden which should not be entered. They finally tried their hand at trimming trees shaped in the traditional style, under the supervision of professional gardeners.
